The work is both in Hebrew and Arabic and is a meditation on two very popular phrases found in both languages. The phrases are parallel in sound and meaning. Many interpretations can be derived from their similarities as well as their musical juxtaposition and overlap.
The text is comprised of three poems by Sue Susman (William Susman's sister) following the life of a homeless woman. A new version was arranged for Jacquelyn Familant and Elaine Kwon.
