HASKALAH on tour
Organized Rhythm took Haskalah on the road from October 22, 2017 to Novemeber 3, 2017. This recently commissioned piece for marimba and organ was written for Joseph Gramley, multi-percussion and Clive Driskill-Smith, organ. The tour began in Rye, NY with stops in Louisville, Nashville, Highlands Ranch (CO), Ann Arbor, and Detroit.
Native New Yorker and Amores Montuņos in Santa Fe
Met Orchestra Musicians Patricia Zuber, flute and Greg Zuber, principal percussion perform live-to-picture the award-winning Native New Yorker (Best Documentary Short Tribeca Film Festival) considered one of the best avant-garde films since 2000 and screened at the National Gallery in Wash., D.C. Piccola Accademia degli Specchi
Recording four pieces with Rome-based ensemble Piccola Accademia degli Specchi (PADS) at La Strada Recording Studio April 17 - 20, 2017: The Starry Dynamo for pierrot ensemble, Camille composed for PADS, Clouds and Flames for piano trio and, Motions of Return for flute and piano for an upcoming album release on Belarca Records.
Guest Artist at Reinhardt
March 14 - March 17, 2017. Performances and talks at Reinhardt University Contemporary Arts Festival including Seven Scenes for Four Flutes, the song cycle Scatter My Ashes for mezzo soprano and piano, Quiet Rhythms no. 30 for solo piano, and a new Olivia Kieffer arrangement of Quiet Rhythms no. 4 for chamber ensemble.
NEW WORK for Marimba and Organ
Commissioned by the renown duo Organized Rhythm to compose a new work for marimba and pipe organ. The duo features Grammy award-winning multi-percussionist Joseph Gramley on marimba and Clive Driskill-Smith on organ. It will be premiered on a program including Copeland and Holst at the San Luis Obispo Performing Arts Center, February 19 at 3 p.m.
